Rainbow Trout

Rainbow Trout Painted during the Butler Chamber Mixer at Siba 8/28/2012

Growing up, I always wanted a dog. As often happens, I had everything but a dog – fish, angel fish, gold fish, lots of fish. I had a canary, a mouse and even more fish. My parents always said no to the dog.

One day, more than a few years ago, my friend Elizabeth picked up a scrawny kitten and handed it to me. I named her Sweet Pea. A few years later, my friend Susan pointed me to Pearl, my wonderful, resilient cat who was with me for over 17 years.

And then a few more years passed, and my husband came along with a big dog. The baby came later and has grown up too fast. Now I have a Great Dane and a beagle but my son would like some fish.

What comes around goes around.
I’ve been painting and drawing as long as I can remember.
My family likes my work, and I think you will too.
